The Hero Foundation is Employment Hero’s dedicated philanthropic venture.
The Hero Foundation is changing how people facing barriers and challenges to employment find work. We want to remove the frustrations and obstacles of dealing with multiple job boards and fragmented recruitment processes. We are here to help make finding work easier, and more valuable for everyone.
We believe that technology is the missing ingredient to supercharge the employment support sector. The Hero Foundation brings the ability to centralise job search, present people at scale and facilitate more people working remotely and flexibly. Our mission is to facilitate 1 million employment placements within the next decade.
The Hero Foundation Story
Employment Hero’s mission is to make employment easier and more valuable for everyone. Hero Foundation is a continuation of this mission. It will transform the lives of people who face additional barriers and challenges to finding sustainable employment.
Ben Thompson, founded Employment Hero alongside Dave Tong in 2014. Since day one, both have been inspired to lift employment to new heights.

How the Hero Foundation works
The Hero Foundation partners with charities and not-for-profit organisations who provide wrap-around job-ready programs, upskilling and equipping people with the tools needed to be ready to find work.
The Hero Foundation leverages the existing job platform we have created. Unlike traditional job boards, Employment Hero has created Employment Hero Jobs, our very own two-sided job marketplace.
Employment Hero Jobs puts your profile in front of employers, often before they even advertise a role. We showcase and elevate potential Hero Foundation candidates to increase your opportunity to find work, whilst simultaneously supporting employers to access a huge talent pool of diverse and engaged talent.
